When they finally end up together, I didn't believe it. I didn't believe that he was so in love with her and thought she was the most beautiful woman he ever saw. He was a jerk. I would agree with another about the scripture -- it was a lot. I started to skim a lot if it. Then he was a pastor, left the church, came back, left again -- geez, make up your mind. And what was the purpose of the dog ..... why did the dog have to die .... The whole think with Bliss seemed a little off too. It was not a bad story, just not one that I will re-read like I do all her other books.

By tata1211 So I have mixed feelings on this one, I did enjoy it but I think the author could have really made it so much better...she had the tools to do so, she just didn't use them...I have loved Willa in all the past books and was looking forward to reading about her and Lucky but everything kind of just went from like 0 to sixty. In the beginning Lucky is staying away and then all of sudden his mind is changed and boom they are dating and its 3 months later, then boom they are engaged and married. There was like no build up. I would have liked to have seen Lucky have to work for it a little, maybe have someone give him some competition and a run for his money. I think the kids uncle from Texas would have been a great choice and maybe even the possibility of Willa going to Texas to make Lucky realize what he wants. Even Moon and Rider could have been great competition which I thought they might be but then really nothing Also I thought there would be some drama when the creepy guy bought the house next door to Willa but again there was nothing. I thought it was hysterical at how much money Willa had but she wouldn't buy anything unless it was on sale. I did love what happened to Bliss cuz that was so well deserved, I can't stand her. Really want to read Train and Killyama's story...hoping that story will be coming.

Filipe In typical Begley fashion...this one 'rocks the socks off' in the bedroom, but I think the humor and heart is what got me the most! Willa tops the list of favorite Last Rider heroines for me, and Lucky....not bad...not bad at all! (He's no Knox or Train, but I like him...especially without his shirt on!)Sassy, Smoking Hot, So much fun...and really heartfelt...LUCKY'S CHOICE is a winner for me!Keep your mouth shut and hold on tight...hurricane Willa is COMING!!

A profitterole of a roller-coaster ride through the tawdry world of celebrity and its delusions. Rush & Molloy season their famous subjects with more than a touch of soy sauce. The end of high and mighty as we know it. Anything that takes down the fat-headed a notch soothes the soul. I appreciated the fast and glib voice, like somebody whose company you'd enjoy sitting next to at an overly-pretentious dinner party. They have seen the highly-visible up close and and stepped on their feet of clay. This isn't War and Peace. It's like one of those over-the-top ice cream desserts you used to get at the soda shop, with extra cherries and whipped cream. Yeah, I'm gonna eat it all!

Patrick Baugh Lots of gossipy tidbits, but kind of confusing, as you're never sure which one of them is writing any one chapter (or part of chapter) unless they specifically mention the other. Also, way, way, way too many mentions of Mort Zuckerman and Richard Johnson - an index would have listed each (conservatively) 200 times.

Their new book, "Scandal:A Manual, is a cheeky, good tempered and very funny take on celebrities and how they got that way. I greatly enjoyed their inside skinny on celebrity handlers and PR stooges. Rush and Molloy coined Runyonesque descriptors such as "stalkerazzi" and "Party barnacles". "Scandal:A Manual" is a dazzling read and I encourage you to crack the spine and enjoy the ride.

By Glen Barrera I really enjoyed this book, about the author and her husband and their dream to pack-saddle Australia’s Bicentennial National Trail. Selling everything, reading-up, and pouring through equipment catalogues they make their purchases and plans, until all they needed…were the horses.I’ve ridden horses, love them, but never really knew them until I read this book. From the beginning, when the “boys” (all rescued ex-trotter Standardbreds) are introduced and their personalities, temperaments and quirks noted, I realized this story would be different. It wasn’t long before they became, to me, five mischievous boys out with their parents on a holiday road-trip (Neddy pushed me! Did not! Did to!). But then, these boys weighed a half-ton each, sometimes had a mind of their own, and couldn’t grasp the concept of “time outs.”This story is well written with an appealing honesty. It made me laugh, as well as dab at my eyes. By Old Student As the title says, this 'book' is the diary of a young man going through RAF pilot training, advanced fast jet and weapons training, and operational conversion to the SEPCAT Jaguar during the late 1980s and early 1990s. It ends at the point that the author is declared a fully operational fighter pilot.All in all, the execution of turning what is undoubtably an interesting diary into a book for the general reader just feels lazy and poorly executed. There are no images or diagrams to help bring the story to life; there's no attempt to create any interesting retrospective narrative around the individual diary entries; and the small number of notes added by the author to provide background are so brief and functional that there's no joy in reading them... none more so than the final note that ends the book - what an anticlimax.If you were there at the time with Trevor Edwards, then I am sure the book is a wonderful piece of nostalgia. If you're a historian looking to for contemporary texts, then this book will shed light. And if you're a budding RAF pilot who wants to know more about what the training process was like 20 years ago, then reading this is a no brainer.But if, like me, you're an avid military aviation nut, then there are literally dozens of other books about military fast jet pilot training and operational flying that you could read first.

By Peter Malby For students of flight or for those interested in how to make it as one of the RAF's top guns then this is the book for you a 'warts and all' account that mixes humour and hard facts as to how to make it in this tough environment and be the best.Written in an easy relaxed style by the author it's clear that both the book and the author are far from average. A cracking read!

About the Author Randy Fritz is the former chief operating officer of the Texas Department of State Health Services, the state’s public and mental health agency. This memoir is insightful, heart-felt, very well written and readers are sensitively moved through the external and internal challenges of rebuilding life and home after great loss. As a therapist, I was impressed by the author’s authenticity and willingness to confront his reluctance to search for and commit to mental/spiritual health care in this time of complicated grief. Most of us will (at some time and in some form) face our own “fires”. Much can be found on these pages to prepare us for moving past stigmas, accepting the limits of self-reliance and finding the humble yet powerful strength necessary to reach out for assistance on the road to healing and recovery . So much more than property is lost in massive forest fire By Hall Ways In Hail of Fire, Randy Fritz shares with readers the profound emotional impact of the 2011 forest fires that devastated Bastrop County, Texas. By the time the fires had swept through nearly fifty-five square miles, over seventeen hundred families had lost their homes, including author Randy Fritz.I expected the family's escape and recovery from the fire to be more central to the story, but it was actually pretty anticlimactic -- they were told to evacuate and they did it, and the close call that the author had in returning to gather some belongings was only realized much later in the book. Also, where I expected the family to go through real, physical hardship at being homeless and without any possessions, they were immeasurably blessed and minimally inconvenienced. Fritz never downplays their material and physical blessings; rather, he mourns the spiritual losses of an entire ecosystem - and HIS beloved pine trees.Fritz tells his story two ways: he begins by leading up to the fires, but he makes frequent digressions into the past, telling stories about his early days in Bastrop County. There is a great deal of dialogue, and his side stories are interesting and contribute to readers better understanding Fritz and his values. The real meat of Hail of Fire is Fritz's struggle to regain control of his emotional well-being and make some measure of peace with his former friend, fire.
