Jenn Foor never disappoints By My Person's Books After reading Addison and getting a glimpse of Cassie we knew she was going to be fun and up to no good, we couldn't wait for her book.Cassie is in love with the town bad boy, Brant, she sees a different side to Brant that most don't. After being forbidden to see him she defies her parents leaving a trail of hurt. Destination and job prospects for Brant are unknown to Cassie, leaving her with doubts about her decision.Arriving in Vegas and staying with Brant's 'friends' isn't what Cassie had signed up for. When she finds out what Brant's job entails she isn't impressed but goes along with it, it's just until he gets paid and they're out, right?Cassie is so blinded by love and wanting to be with Brant that she gets sucked in and starts to do things that go against her morals. The internal pull of what is right and wrong has Cassie torn, has she made a mistake?"True love stands the test of time. I prayed that saying was true."She needs to give it her all with Brant and stop doubting the situation, he's promised this is just for now so they can get on their feet. Cassie becomes so swept up in drugs amongst other things to escape her new life and guilt. When Logan gives Cassie information on Brant she's angry, it's made her realize the mistake she's made by following her heart and not listening to her parents. It's her mess and now she needs to clean it up rather then running back to her family.The minute she can make a run for it she does and she's straight back into the arms of Brant and danger. Logan was trying to protect her and for a good reason. He will still do everything he can to try and save her from herself regardless of her feelings towards him.“I just want you to see how your life is just beginning. The road to happiness is free of traffic. It’s your time to shine. You need to seize every opportunity you get. Be optimistic. Be everything you know you deserve to be.”You know those fairy tales with a knight in shining armour. That's exactly what Logan is although Cassie doesn't see it right away. Hell bent on helping her reclaim her life he seriously had us swooning. The roller coaster ride and realisation of Logan to Cassie was a more than a light bulb moment. His history and actions have put her on a path of self discovery in so many ways, leading her to discover what she wants in life no matter how hard experiences and life might be. Family is everything and forgiveness is always in reach. The Mitchell/Healy family are our favourite family, the love that each and every character displays for one another just radiates from each book, making you want to be apart of them.“He was the light at the end of the tunnel, the hope when all felt lost. I may have gone through hell with Brant, but Logan showed me the way back to heaven.”We just adore this entire series and look forward to more, it's one we don't want to end.

I have had a love for the Mitchell/Healy clan since we met Ty and Van years ago !! Now reading about all their kids it has been surreal, hard to see how grown up they have become. I love seeing the parents in action yet I feel their kids stories have so much more pain than theirs , and believe me the drama was not scarce in those stories AT ALL. Connor and Amy had one of the hardest journeys of all the originals and now they are having a struggle with their daughter Cassie. She is not afraid to push buttons and leave home , I never thought I would see any of them leave home like this.Cassie and her boyfriend Brant have had the cards stacked against them since day 1. Cassie's parents do not like him , they want to keep her away from him and despite being in her 20's her parents try very hard to control her actions. Being fed up Cassie and Brant decide to leave home and chase after some dream job for Brant. Problem is Brandt does not do much by way of legal so who knows what is in store. Cassie quickly finds that the struggle of being on their own , away from home and family isn't all it's cracked up to be. To top it off the worry Cassie has over what Brant is actually doing has changed her , she is making poor choices and they are getting mixed in things they should be staying away from. A savior comes to Cassie by way of an FBI hottie and hands her a proposition. Will Cassie accept or will she continue on the path of destruction with Brant ??I was shocked with that part of the story I honestly didn't expect it to go down that way. After certain events changed Cassie's journey the book sped up a bit and I think I would have enjoyed a bit more time during the road trip and then after. I enjoyed Cassie's story and am happy she was able to fix things and get back to being happy and healthy. I look forward to more...
