Magical By heidi I was given this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.We are back again with another instalment from the wonderful Vanessa Vale with her Wildflowers Of Montana this time it is Hyacinth turn.When Jackson Reed comes back home from his time in the army, he catches the attention of the seven lovely Lenox daughters. But he has eyes for just the one … the beautiful Hyacinth Lenox. It's obvious that she has noticed him also, so why is she avoiding him?Hyacinth just can't stop herself she thinks about this handsome sandy-haired newcomer so much its scares her, but whilst she longs for her happy ever after with Jackson, she feels that she is not worthy enough to marry let alone him the one she desires the most. Guilt mares her from a tragic incident from her childhood it still scares her now in her adulthood, It leaves her feeling that she is undeserving of Jackson's love.But Jackson isn't a man to give up so easily. He is determined to help Hyacinth overcome her past and her pain and make her his wife. In this book I loved how it was softer than Rose's story Hyacinth is rather delicate just like her name sake the flower, I loved how patient Jackson is with her and how he takes charge so perfectly he knows just the right buttons to press, and who would stop him huh …. lol I no I wouldn't.Hyacinth as I said above is rather delicate she is also rather cool and calm she has had to endure allot in her life, but then she never thought she would find a man such as Jackson either. I love how Hyacinth is so unflappable especially with her sisters she makes me smile at times I couldn't believe she is a perfect lead character and the type of person I would love too be friends with.Now Jackson he is sinfully handsome and strong he sets his eyes on Hyacinth and he will not waver, if one thing the army has taught him is not to give up or in..... good thing too as Hyacinth is so unsure of herself her life and him and he is the right man to help her. I loved his softness and the edge of tough guy, and how he sees the real Hyacinth he totally had me from the get go, in fact he was my favourite character.One of my most favourite parts is how Miss Trudy lets them have alone time and Jackson catches Hyacinth in the most surprising of way's. I wont give away how as it would be a major spoiler but its a doozey and then some.I just love Vanessa Vale she sure knows how to lure you in to her magical books.4 Out Of 5 Hearts From Cariad Books
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Sisters, flowery names, and hot steamy romance By Book lady I recieved a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions in this review are my own. I was thrilled to find that Vanessa Vale was going back to the world of Rose and her sisters with this book. The steam does not only come from the blacksmith's-forge that I imagine the town has, since this is another historically set romance, or the train that might be somewhere in the territory. I enjoy the feel of escape and time travel I get when I am reading Vale's delightful tales of dual desire. Vale has a great way of portraying the relationship between male and female when she writes her storylines. I enjoyed reading more about Hyacinth and being introduced to Jackson Reed. Jackson is so bold for such a unique time in history. I found myself thinking about Vale's characters and setting even when I was not reading. I often like to imagine what the town is like that the characters live near as well as the farms/ranches they live on. Vale has created a great place to visit as one reads her latest tale. I recommend this for others that enjoy a romance with some historical setting.
