By Denise Wood This book of wonderful short stories captures a time and essence of the early 30's and 40's. A time when you could let your kids run wild and let me tell you, they did! Fun and lighthearted, these stories lead you to turning the pages fast to see what could possibly happen next. I am particularly fond of the last 3 stories that really pull at the heart strings. Will they make it to the train??? I literally had tears in my eyes crying and saying to myself, "You can make it Rose! You can make it!" I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to laugh and wants to remember a time of a loving father and mother who could let their "Kids on The Loose"!

By Thomas F Robertson A life worth living packed with more experiences than most of us could even imagine. Truly wish more people could be delivered by a goat!Ms Gabriel writes a nostalgic inspiring story in straightforward prose full of life lessons and wisdom from an earlier time. If you are of a certain age you will remember similar events from your youth while this is a must read for subsequent generations to more clearly understand their parents and grandparents and for them to see the value of a simpler lifestyle, inquisitive spirit, and an unstoppable positive attitude. Go for it! You won't regret reading this book.

By Naomi McMillan Wow, what an amazing tribute to her dad and the wonderful life he made for his family. It was unbelievable how this book made you feel like you were there at every turn witnessing every ounce of trouble she and her siblings managed to get into. I knew RoseMary as a classmate's mom, but this paints her in such a different light. My hat's off to her for actually being able to paint such vivid pictures with such heartfelt memories. I couldn't put it down and am anxiously awaiting the next chapter.
