About the Author V. B. Lamb was archivist at the College of Arms and librarian to the Sussex Archaeological Society. Peter Hammond is president of the Richard III Society and was research officer of the society for more than 30 years.

It's much shorter than PM Kendall and Charles Ross' books (about 100 pages) but sums up the history of R3 excellently. I highly recommend it for both the casual as well as serious reader as the book contains extensive notes.
