Upon arriving home to a crime scene, Barbara Chevalier’s youngest son, Bryan has been taken via air ambulance to a trauma hospital after according to police, an “accident” happened in the home. She finds out a few hours later, Bryan was shot at point-blank range in the chest and back with a 9 mm. Her despair becomes boldness as she asks God to spare her son. For the next hour and a half, Bryan conveys his experience of the afterlife, God, Heaven, judgment and many other insights. Barbara’s “Doubting Thomas” and “Wicked Witch” syndrome kicks in and she thinks this is a nice, warm, fuzzy-feeling story! Until Bryan remembers the seemingly cryptic message God told him to tell his mom that would change both of their lives forever.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. I am happy to say that anyone will enjoy this book By Pam Ayers Barbara is one of my oldest and dearest friends of my childhood. I understand that makes mine a biased review, but as a lover of reading, I am happy to say that anyone will enjoy this book. It is the story of tragedy turned into a triumph for God. I am proud and amazed at how my friend and her family dealt with a nightmare come true. On a completely impersonal note, the book was a solid, well-written, page turner. The only time you will put it down, is to process the overwhelming emotions you will feel.

I am so very proud of her for this accomplishment. Her amazing husband Simon has stood by her and given her strength and support during all of this. God Bless him for taking care of Barbara and her boys. I highly recommend this book it is a blessing that all involved are working through the anguish this has caused. It strengthens faith and wisdom comes from the knowledge of my beautiful niece.

Keep Searching For Blue Jays By RON_B As a person who is involved in the local North Dallas area metaphysical community, I am always interested in hearing people’s experiences around God, Spirit, spirituality, life, death, near death, past lives, between lives and even “near-life” – as in sometimes you have to take action and actually live your life… Anyway, that’s what I was doing, as I have been hanging out in the Dallas Metaphysical communities for a number of years now – when I met Barbara at a book signing in the NOW Center at its Grand Opening at the Valley View Mall, I was intrigued. Barbara didn’t have a box of books yet at the event, so I went on Amazon and ordered one that weekend. To make this whole situation even more surreal – at Lightworker’s Sanctuary the following weekend, I was hanging out getting treatment – and lo and behold Barbara is having a book signing there – now she has boxes of books – so I get an autographed copy to take home that night, too! I dug through the book to find the meat of the experience – and when I read the chapter – tears welled up in my eyes and gushed forth leaving water marks down my shirt – wow – I know that other people have that kind of experience of connection with God, which is unexplainable – I’ve even had a few myself – this is good to remember! So, having met an in-the-flesh person recount their experiences of a miracle, made it even more real. I’ve met Barbara – she’s a real person. This is real. My logic mind accepts it! And now, I say “Keep Searching For Blue Jays!”
