By Meghan Critics have said this, but I’m saying this again: this is another tour de force!Scott Blade has written something based on another popular fiction character (Jack Reacher), yet, with this second book, the author only proves that his own creation has achieved its own high level of fame and fandom that pretty soon, being “Jack Reacher’s son” will only be a small footnote in Cameron Reacher’s history.Also, don’t worry if you haven’t read the first book, as this one has enough backstory to let you know where Cameron Reacher stands in the grand scheme of things.Cameron has his absent father’s genes, including killer skills and a powerful physique, and the fact that he’s wandering the world just to locate his almost “mythical” father pits him against various adversaries. And this time, the stakes are higher: a CIA plot to stop a terrorist from ending so many innocent lives, plus a beautiful woman thrown in for believable sexual tension, and you’ve got a deeply entertaining read from start to finish. Five stars for this one.

I was thrilled to discover this new series as I am a huge Reacher fan and wait on pins & needles for each new book by Lee Child. Had my doubts, but Scott Blade delivered the goods and I'm hooked. Anxiously waiting for the 3rd installment and what I hope will be another long run of great stories and adventures of the "other" Reacher! Cheers to Scott & Mako - well done and keep 'em coming!!! Only the second of the series and I am already addicted to Cameron Reacher son of Jack Reacher. The plot and characters were all very well placed and as his father Reacher done it it again and keep me fast page turning to find out more and more. Thanks to the author for sharing his talent with us and now I have to wait for the next one.. All Jack Reacher fans should start read this series.

By Objective Listener Ms. Cochran's book, "Impact", is the story of how mistakes in life can be very costly and long lasting in their consequences. After violating a rather trivial law on importing nannies from overseas, Ireland in this case, Ms. Cochran was arrested by Federal marshals in a most disrespectful manner. She had been suffering for a long time from bipolar illness and undoubtedly her mental condition was one of the major influences responsible for her making a bad business decision, for which she paid with a year-and-a-half sentence at a women's Federal prison nicknamed "Camp Cupcake". The trials and tribulations of a middle-class, white soccer mom are exquisitely recounted here. The book includes re-creations of her psychotherapy sessions in dialog form, as well as intermittent accounts of her personal life before, during, and after her prison time. In prison she encounters racial tensions and portrayals, sometimes being called "Barbie Doll" by fellow inmates because of her physical appearance. At times a very sad chronicle, at others an exciting and optimistic story, Ms. Cochran eventually rebuilds her life with enthusiasm. Her story as a whole highlights the failure of a justice system that only sees good and evil, law and unlawfulness, but almost always disregards mental illness as an extenuating circumstance. In the end, the reader will have to decide if justice was served, and whether the punishment was worth the cost to her and her family. Finally, Ms. Cochran triumphs over her mental illness, and one can take inspiration from her struggles and final victory. I strongly recommend this book to all Americans wondering what is happening to us as a people, and where we are going. The book is written in very fluent language, and is not without its humorous moments.

What made this book stand out for me was the absolute wonderful character John Thompson is. What a great couple I feel very pleased to have been with them on their journey. I can wholeheartedly recommend this book. I do not hesitate to award 5 stars when I have been so royally entertained!
