By shannon Not only is it very informational, but the recipes give you the opportunity to experience a piece of Kurdistan from your own American kitchen! I've been looking for a Kurdish recipe book that is in English & uses our measurements in cups/tsp/tbsp to avoid needing to convert to metric measurements (that can also cause changes in final taste of recipe if not done precisely). I've only made it through a couple recipes so far...but I can already tell this will be a very well used book!

I felt like Chiman was sitting across from me telling me her story. I did not know all that she went through. Her story blew me away. She is an amazing woman. I highly recommend this book.
