About the Author Linda J. Hinds Deitchman enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a teacher in the schools of Western New York State and Indiana. Throughout her classroom years she taught every grade from Kindergarten to college. However, the years she spent in middle schools numbered the most. She has always been interested in writing short stories and articles. Her attempts to publish two novels resulted in a pile of lovely rejection letters. Born a native of Buffalo, New York, she has lived in Southwestern Indiana for several years. Linda enjoys traveling, movies, walking, reading and being with her family and friends.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Excellent Memoir By Barbara A Klein I was fortunate to be asked to review the advanced reader copy of this book by the author. She was a teacher for many years in the public school system and has so many stories to tell. I laughed out loud many times while reading each chapter. Ms. Deitchman is very honest in her reminiscences. She writes in a very readable style, is very descriptive in her narrative and lets you picture each incident by her words. I loved this book, and I love and admire the author. Do yourself a favor and purchase this very relevant memoir. It gives a very pertinent view of education in our time.

Linda embodies all of these attributes as she shares her personal experience in and out of the classroom. This work will surely inform and inspire new teachers and those that may have lost hope and need encouragement.
