About the Author I have been a Texas peace officer since 2010. When I graduated high school, the first thing I did was get my Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification. I started working for my hometown fire department, and then completed the Fire Academy. I spent three years as a full time firefighter and EMT. I took a job as a safety supervisor for a water park in central Texas that is the largest water park in North America. From there I went to Los Angeles and worked as an executive bodyguard at Warner Brothers' Studios. I stayed there for about a year before taking a higher paying job that took me around the country building internet and data infrastructures. In 2001, I started working on my pilot's license and worked at an airport. September 11th sent me into a whole other work path. I started working at local TV station as a part time camera operator, and eventually worked my way to being the Chief Director of Newscasts. When I decided to go back to school I went to the Midwest. I worked on an armored car while in school. I was then recruited by a United States Senator to represent him in 24 counties during his reelection campaign. I was very active in politics from 2004-2008. I spent time in the Governor's office and all over the state. During this period of time I was lucky enough to meet President G.W. Bush three times, Vice President Cheney, and countless Congressional members and operators. I got to see Air Force One on two occasions, work with the White House staff and Secret Service, and travel in motorcades. I returned to Texas in 2009 and went to the Police Academy. That's where this series of books "Stories From the Sarge" came to life. I hope you'll continue with the next books and, of course, enjoy the ride! The writer really gives great insight into what goes on in the world of an officer. I find myself wanting to keep reading when it's over. I will be anxiously awaiting for the next one.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. BEST BOOK SERIES EVER By Lisett Bond This book picked up with the same fun stories as the first volume. But this book is WAY more full of emotion. The stories are still fun, but I was also on the edge of my seat for a few chapters in full suspense. I can tell the author went through several ranges of emotions during the events that he wrote about in this volume. I can't wait to see more!
